Converse Reveals Rick Owens DRKSHDW DBL DRKSTAR Chuck 70
Converse has revealed yet another collaboration with Rick Owens‘ sub-label DRKSHDW, marking its third collaborative offering in 2023. This time, the designer revisited the Chuck 70 to create the DRKSHDW DBL DRKSTAR Chuck 70 in both high and low silhouettes.
In this latest collab, Owens elevates the DRKSTAR Chuck 70 with a double-stacked sole, elongated tongues, and a distinct speckled texture on the rubberized platforms, toe caps and foxing tape. Opting for a rounded toe as opposed to the square design that was seen in the previous capsule.
The high example features a black canvas upper with white contrasting stitching while the low features a “Natural Ivory” canvas upper with stitching to match. Both pairs boast chromatic Converse All Star logos at their inward-facing exteriors. Other shared details include “DBL DRKSTAR” branding on the tongues and on one of the rubberized heel logos with the other reflecting traditional Converse branding.
Both pairs are expected to drop on September 8, with retail for the DRKSHDW DBL DRKSTAR Chuck 70 high set at $170 USD and the low set at $165 USD. Should this release follow those of the past, the two examples will also be available on DRKSHDW’s official site as well.
