Danny Cipriani's wife speaks out after his claims about famous exes
Rugby ace Danny Cipriani has laid everything bare in his new memoir, to the point where his new wife has spoken out, addressing his exes.
Danny’s book Who Am I? has some seriously messy details, with the 35-year-old sharing insight into his very public relationships with Kelly Brook, 43, and Kirsty Gallacher, 47.
Among many explosive claims, he revealed that after they had split, he and Kelly had gone on a secret holiday to Mauritius while she was dating fellow rugby lad, Thom Evans.
The memoir addresses his well-documented sex life and turbulent romantic entanglements, not all of which show previous partners in the best light.
Victoria Cipriani, Danny’s wife, shared her feelings about the memoir in an Instagram post which contained a cute selfie of the couple.
She wrote: ‘I find myself repeatedly being questioned about my feelings regarding my husband’s exes being news. I don’t feel any way about it; it’s his life, and it’s all relevant and brought him to where he is today.
‘Also, he’s not mentioned anything that isn’t already public knowledge; he’s also never spoken about it publicly.’
Danny has a long dating history, having been with Kelly and Kirsty as well as Cheeky Girl Monica Irimia, Lindsay Lohan, Katie Price, and Caroline Flack.
Things ended so badly with Monica that she reportedly warned Kelly to stay away from him, and Danny’s book certainly paints a messy picture.
Victoria continued: ‘I sincerely hope that this spotlight doesn’t cause any discomfort or negative emotions for the women involved. It is important to note that Danny is not the type of person to talk derogatorily about others.
‘However, the newspapers selectively focus on what they perceive as the most sensational aspects rather than presenting a balanced perspective. This book is a raw and intense account of the rollercoaster journey that Danny has experienced, and I implore readers to reserve judgment until they have had the opportunity to read it in its entirety.
‘Only then can a comprehensive understanding of his personal growth and experiences be gained. I hope you have a fantastic day.’
The book’s imminent publication has brought attention to former flames, particularly model Kelly, who dated Danny from 2008 to 2010.
Their on-and-off relationship was known to be rocky but the rugby player shared one time he told a stripper he was going to break up with Kelly, who heard all this and slapped him.
The model apparently had to be restrained by several bouncers and Danny sprinted to the bathroom in an attempt to hurt himself.
They split and she dated Thom, who is now with Nicole Scherzinger, but the pair parted ways and she and Danny rekindled things temporarily.
In 2013, when the Mauritius cheating scandal first leaked, Kelly said: ‘Thom and I mutually agreed to go our separate ways some time ago. It had absolutely nothing to do with a third party.’
Not long after, the Masked Dancer contestant found messages from other women on his phone, resulting in a grilling and final breakup.
At least Kelly didn’t get punched by a stranger, unlike unsuspecting Lindsay who had a brief fling with Danny in 2010.
The athlete revealed in an extract that the Mean Girls star had invited him on a night out for her birthday and ended up being punched by a rival for Danny’s attention.
This ‘Megan Fox look-a-like’ had a drunk Danny ‘professing undying love’ for her and the two ended up spending the night together.
Days later he met Lindsay, continuing: ‘It’s her birthday the next day, so she invites me to hers …
‘Later, we head to the club where the Megan Fox lookalike works. We haven’t been there long when the Megan Fox lookalike marches towards us and punches Lindsay in the face. I can’t say for sure, but I think I’m to blame.’
The Just My Luck actress even tweeted about the incident, and wrote: ‘A waitress just hit me – punched me for no reason.’
Later reports suggested the bottle girl was Jasmine Waltz – who went on to become a model and reality TV star – but she always denied hitting the actress.
She previously told Radar Online: ‘All I have to say is that disturbed little train wreck is delusional. I did not hit her … but I’d like to.’
Danny’s turbulent relationships came to an end when he began dating mental health campaigner Victoria in August 2020, getting engaged just four months later.
They wed on April 27, 2021, at an intimate ceremony which they posted on Instagram for fans to see.
Victoria has two children, Jade, who she had when she was 14 and a teenage son Kameron.
She and Danny were expecting but lost the baby at 24 weeks, which he called ‘difficult’ but said the pair were ‘strong’ as it helped their love grow.
Metro has reached out to Danny’s representatives for comment.
