Holly Silius to Present 'Polaroids and Body Prints' Series at Central Server Works
Central Server Works in Los Angeles will play host to a new online exhibition by British multidisciplinary artist, Holly Silius.
As a mainstay within the world of fashion, Silius has worked with some of the biggest names and brands over the past 20 years, including Robert Pattinson for GQ and Frank Ocean for i-D, as well as campaigns for Prada and TOM FORD. Trained as a swimmer, movement has shown to be a central theme within her practice, most notably in the body casts she creates for her subjects.
In Polaroids and Body Prints, Silius celebrates the human form as a canvas to stage her latest body casts. Each polaroid is hand-painted by the artist to create a psychedelic effect and uses the connection to the body as an expression of artistic freedom. The series originally went on view as part of an exhibition at Tate Britain in 2016 and includes models such as French singer and actor Soko, Barbie star Hari Nef, along with models Ever Anderson and Amber Valletta.
The exhibition will open on December 2 and run through February 2, 2024.
