Strictly pro hints he's partnered with Love Island's Zara McDermott

A Strictly Come Dancing professional has dropped a huge hint he could be partnered with Love Island star Zara McDermott.

The reality star, 26, has already made Strictly history as the very first Love Island contestant to sign up.

Zara joins the likes of Amanda Abbington, Angela Rippon, Les Dennis, and Adam Thomas, with rehearsals already underway.

However, it has yet to be revealed who Zara will be partnered with, although some fans are already convinced she could be paired up with Graziano Di Prima.

But now, another name has been thrown into the mix, thanks to Zara’s boyfriend Sam Thompson.

The Made In Chelsea star, who has been dating Zara since 2019, dropped Neil Jones’ name during a chat with Strictly alum Fleur East.

Fleur probed: ‘The first thing I need to ask you is, are you a jealous person?’

‘If you’re off dancing with someone else, as long as I’m playing Fifa, I’m cool,’ Sam replied.

It Takes Two host Fleur went on: ‘Prepare to date a new version of your girlfriend, because honestly, she’s going to transform.

‘One week she’ll be in a waltz vibe, next week she’ll be in a salsa vibe.’

Someone else off camera chimed in: ‘Next week she’ll be in an affair with Neil.’

‘Who’s Neil?!’ Sam brushed off. ‘Who’s Neil??’

Resharing the post, Strictly pro Neil hinted: ‘🤣🤣🤣 don’t worry @samthompsonuk you are definitely safe with me 🤟🏻.’

This comes after Strictly contestant Layton Williams confirmed he would have a same-sex partner.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Bad Education actor wrote: ‘I’m 100% gonna be paired up with a man.’

As fans begged to know more, Layton insisted: ‘PS – I don’t know who my partner is lol and even if I did it’s giving We genuinely don’t know until that very moment in screen. Wild right?!x’

He had previously expressed his desire to be in an all-male pairing, saying on The One Show: ‘Honestly, truly, I’m happy so long as it’s a guy. I’ve said I want to dance with a man. I want to be flung around.

‘Basically, at college I was always vey jealous of the girls being thrown around and was like, “I want to be that!”

‘So I can’t wait to get flung around and wear some glittery costumes.’

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
