A bloke I went on three dates with dumped me – then told me to go to the gym
When you're meeting someone new, there's always some nervous energy around. Are they going to like how you look? Your personality?
Well, one woman thought her dating life was going well after having three dates with the same bloke from the dating app Hinge. But while she was pondering whether this could go anywhere, he dumped her with a shocking text message.
In a video, which has gone viral on X (Twitter), the unnamed woman revealed her date had ended things because she "wasn't fit enough" for him and told her she needed to go to the gym "for the next six months". She explained: "Today I received a crazy text from a guy I went on three Hinge dates with."

She then shared a screenshot of a lengthy text message as her friend read it out loud for the video. It said: "I mostly want to preface by saying how much I've enjoyed talking to you and seeing you the last couple of weeks."
He then added he thought she was "gorgeous and beautiful" and claimed he wanted to 'stare at her smile' all day long. He claimed that she is "perfectly goofy" and not taking herself "too seriously."
The lad continued: "You're so caring and have a lot of love and energy to give and I can see that every day. I could tell right away we had similarities and I love how you pointed out that your parents are so in love and it seems like you wanted to have the same kind of love as them."
But that was when the compliments stopped as he told her how he really feels about her. He said that it was "tough to have a really good physical connection that matches everything else" and his life revolves around fitness and he thinks hers should too.
He said: "I know it sounds terrible to say [but] I have to be honest because my life revolves around staying fit. That's just who I am and something I've been thinking about since Friday, and the right way to say this and the right way to say this that makes you understand how much I appreciate you.
"I don't even want to say this and I'm dreading sending it because I truly don't want you out of my life but right now is just not the right time. Even with that said, I would love it it you reached out at some point in the future and I could very easily see if you grinded harder for 6 months or a year in the future or whatever it is I honestly think I would marry you."

The woman — who is not overweight by any stretch — burst out laughing as she couldn't believe the guy was "calling her fat". Though she confessed she did cry initially after she read the message but now can laugh about it.
And she isn't the only one as the clip was shared on social media by CatchUpFeed gaining more than 10,000 views and responses from men saying they'd date her instead. One user said: "How do we get her name/number?" Another added: "Some men are really unhinged."
A third commented: "Makes no sense, she's not fat." Meanwhile, a fourth defended the bloke as they wrote: "Bro did nothing wrong but stuck to his standards. People are just mad because he doesn't wanna settle but is giving the girl a second chance."
