BBC Breakfast's Peter Ruddick worried about his festive outfit when questioned by Naga Munchetty.
The presenter, 48, teamed up with co-host Charlie Stayt for the second time this week on Friday. Noting that it's December 1, Naga pointed out that the build up to Christmas is well and truly on.
The duo began debating when is the correct time to begin the countdown to Christmas, with Naga accepting it should begin on December 1. However Charlie disagreed, responding: "I think frankly you can do it whenever you like."
Naga explained that she felt people go "too soon" before handing over to Peter. "There are people who fully embrace it like Peter Ruddick."
She continued: "His Christmas tree is already up, he's gone to a Christmas tree farm this morning. He's happy as Larry there and he's dressed up for the occasion as well.
The camera panned to Peter who was live from a Christmas tree farm in Cheltenham. "Wowzas," Naga simply said.
The BBC Radio 5 Live presenter's surprise response was in reference to Peter's eccentric hat. The bobble hat featured a range of different colours and had green flashing lights beaming from the top.
"I thought why not! Have I gone a bit early do you think?" Peter said. To which Naga could only respond: "Er…."
Peter asked: "Is the flashing hat too much?"
