Big Brothers Kerry claims she is in talks to join TOWIE after house eviction
Kerry Riches has claimed that she is currently in talks to join the cast of The Only Way is Essex.
The Big Brother star, 40, who was evicted from the house during the Halloween task, proved rather divisive during her time on the reality show.
During numerous live evictions, the crowd could be heard chanting "get Kerry out!" despite the NHS manager not being up for eviction that week.
However this rather negative reception has not turned Kerry off the idea of returning to reality TV, and during a recent TikTok live with her fellow Big Brother evictee Hallie Clarke, Kerry claimed that she has been in talks to join the next series of TOWIE.
After Kerry revealed that she was in London, Hallie had asked what she was doing there, to which she said: "I'm in a meeting with someone from TOWIE. I've got to be careful what I say. Really exciting stuff, to be honest."
Following the revelation, fans were quick to take to social media, with many sharing their excitement at Kerry's potential return to TV.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: "Kerry has just said on TikTok live that she has a meeting with TOWIE tomorrow #bbuk" leading others to comment on the news.
"Omg, that's kinda iconic, ngl, it actually brings the show back to life, casting real people" replied one fan, while another quipped: "I mean she is basically Gemma Collins."
And a third fan added: "Mother coming to revive Towie omg."
Although others weren't quite so positive about the news, with one reply reading: "Ugh no thank you" while a second simply asking: "TOWIE is still a thing?!"
Kerry had previously shared that she'd love to join the Loose Women panel, telling The Sun: "What I'd love to be is a Loose Women, I love to chat. I love Janet Street Porter, I love Coleen Nolan, I love Nadia Sawalha, that would be lovely."
Kerry, who has multiple sclerosis and uses a wheelchair, has worked for the NHS for 21 years but says she "just needs a bit of time off".
She continued: "I love the NHS, I've done it for 21 years, it's a long time and I've always said if doors open for this, then I'd gladly walk through them.
"I've been out such a short period of time, I'd love to do anything, I need a job, I've got a mortgage to pay."
