Inside Emmerdale stars Daisy Campbell and Rosie Bentham's Croatia holiday

Emmerdale’s Daisy Campbell and Rosie Bentham have jetted off to Croatia.

And soap fans have caught a glimpse of their summer trip through their sunny Instagram stories.

Daisy, 20, who plays Amelia Spencer, and 22-year-old Rosie, who plays Gabby Thomas, appear to be the best of pals off-screen, previously going on holidays together.

The actresses enjoyed a Paris weekend earlier this year, though their summer 2022 getaway to Ibiza went a bit sideways.

This time around, it seems they’re in Split – a large city in Croatia perched along the Adriatic Sea.

And they recently shared footage from an idyllic boat trip on their Instagram Stories.

In the clips, both Daisy and Rosie can be seen jumping off the boat and plunging into the crystal blue waters.

They’ve also shared snaps of themselves donning life jackets as they try their hand at kayaking.

Split is a popular tourist hotspot – in part thanks to its history and the landmark Diocletian’s Palace (which will be recognisable to Game Of Thrones fans as a Meereen filming location).

It’s also within a one and a half hour driving distance to the stunning waterfalls of Krka National Park.

Previous social media posts also indicate that Daisy and Rosie have spent some time on Hvar – an isle frequently dubbed the ‘queen of the Croatian Dalmatian islands’.

Previous posts on Instagram of a night out were tagged with Hvar’s beachside Hula Hula Bar.

Surely the sunny climes of the Balkans will be a welcome reprieve from the UK’s epic washout summer.

Split, for example, is expecting scorching temperatures of 31C today (August 15), with highs of 34C possible as Saturday (August 19) rolls around – following a sweltering heatwave.

Daisy and Rosie’s break also comes as their Emmerdale characters conclude some major storylines.

Amelia is terrified as dad Dan (Liam Fox) faces prison, for sending her stalker Lloyd to the hospital with a single punch – ultimately leading to his death. She even tries to get him to run away from Emmerdale.

Meanwhile Gabby Thomas has been left devastated in recent weeks as fiancé Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) jilted her on their wedding day by revealing he was gay, and her ill-advised advances on happily married Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) didn’t go to plan.

With ex Nicky staying in the village, and already onto a new romance, perhaps Gabby could use a getaway of her own…
