Katy Perry's fiancé Orlando Bloom makes speech after rape and sexual assault claims against Russell Brand emerge | The Sun
KATY Perry's fiancé Orlando Bloom has made a speech after rape and sexual assault claims about her ex Russell Brand emerged.
The Hollywood actor took to the stage at a star-studded New York event organised by Bill and Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea.
English star Bloom, 46, said nothing about the allegations made against Brand, who was married to US pop star Perry from October 2010 to July 2012.
Dad-of-two Brand, 48, denies the accusations levelled against him in a joint investigation by The Times and Channel 4's Dispatches programme.
Other A-listers attending the annual Clinton Global Initiative 2023 summit included actors Patrick Dempsey, Ashley Judd and Liev Schreiber as well as supermodel Christy Turlington.
Bloom spoke out the importance of ensuring Ukrainian schoolchildren continue to receive education despite the ongoing war there following Russia's invasion in February last year.

Brand and Perry, 38, are thought to have first met in 2009 and wed in India the following year.
But their marriage was short-lived, with Perry later revealing Brand ended the relationship by text message on New Year's Eve 2011 – only minutes before she went on stage.
That moment she received the text and broke down in tears was captured on camera and shown in her 2012 documentary Katy Perry: Part Of Me.
Perry told Vogue magazine the following year how "magical" their initial romance had been, saying she found Brand "hysterical".

Brand has denied Saturday's accusations of rape, sexual assault and abuse against four women including one who was 16 at the time.
Four women alleged he attacked them during the height of his fame between 2006 and 2013, when he hosted shows on BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4 and starred in Hollywood movies.
He is accused of rape and sexual assault as well as emotional and physical abuse, which he denies.
The Metropolitan Police have potential victims to come forward while the BBC and Channel 4 have opened investigations.
Scotland Yard announced yesterday they were investigating after being contacted by a woman reporting she was sexually assaulted by Brand in 2003 in London's Soho.
An ex-model also told of Brand tailing her demanding sex for what "felt like a lifetime", adding: "He’s like the Terminator. You can’t get rid of him."
Brand posted a video on his YouTube channel on Friday night, before any accusations had yet been published.
