Love Island USA fans shocked after star brands host disrespectful

Love Island USA host Sarah Hyland was caught in an awkward moment when an Islander labelled her "disrespectful."

The incident occurred when Keenan Anunay was dumped from the villa, and his partner Kay Kay Gray made the surprising decision to also leave the show and join him in returning to the outside world.

Kay Kay announced: “I would like to voluntarily also leave. I feel like I found what I came here for, and I’d like to leave with Keenan.”

In the moment when Kay Kay confirmed her decision, Modern Family star Sarah double-checked with her, asking: "Before you go anywhere, I just want to make sure that you are absolutely happy with your decision?"

Kay Kay responded: “No regrets.”

Mike, another contestant, interpreted the host’s questioning as disrespectful and chimed in: “Why are you saying it like that?”

“Me?” the shocked host replied. “Yeah, it sounded mad disrespectful,” Mike answered.

Taken aback by his comment, Sarah asked: "I'm being disrespectful?", seeming visibly shocked by the accusation.

Another Islander, Leonardo Dionicio, who stood next to Mike, leaned over and whispered in Sarah’s ear: “Sarah, I apologise for his reaction. I think it’s just the heat of the moment.”

However, she quickly brushed off the comment and continued with the show, adding: “Boys will be boys, right?”

Before the episode aired, Sarah Hyland took to Instagram Stories to share her reaction, writing: “‘When I tell you that tonight’s episode was wild. It was absolutely wild.

“I thought New York Sarah was gonna come out, but I kept it [professional].”

Viewers watching the episode quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the incident. One fan wrote: “love island usa is insane because why are you being weird asf to the host? #loveisland #LoveIslandUSA ”.

Another penned: “NOT A ISLANDER SAYING THE ENTIRE HOST IS BEING DISRESPECTFUL??? That sounded like Mike but I’m shocked that these Islanders really be disrespecting the host like…. #LoveIsland ”.

A third added: “Wow so you lot disrespect the host like that, imagine someone doing that to @MayaJama in the UK, it would legit be curtains for that individual SO RUDE.”

While a fourth chimed in: “It’s her Job. He’s on a reality show. That’s what she need to do to get answers and some drama. Maya Jama on the UK version does even more than this but does not get disrespected. This is embarrassing.”

Meanwhile, the show – which has welcomed a former UK Islander to the cast – just made reality TV history as two female contestants shared a groundbreaking snog. Singletons Kassy Castillo and Johnnie Garcia shared an intimate moment on one of the sofas in the villa, as they both admitted to having feelings for each other.

“I obviously find you attractive… obviously!” Kassy, 22, said, giggling as she went: “I just didn’t know if you felt like the attraction too and stuff. So I just wanted to see if you’re seeing that, I don’t know?”

“B***h I been seeing it,” Johnnie, 25, said.
