MAFS UK fans say embarrassing as rival grooms announce boxing match after feud
Two grooms from the latest series of Married At First Sight UK have announced a charity boxing match in which they'll face off against each other.
Luke Worley and Jordan Gayle famously fell out during the E4 show with an altercation between the pair resulting in the former being axed from the programme. The confrontation erupted in the entrance to the flat shared by Jordan and his wife Erica Roberts after Luke learned his rival had suggested he would be unfaithful to his own wife, Jay Howard, given the opportunity.
After being given the boot, Luke took to his TikTok and Instagram account on several occasions to make threats towards Jordan, only stoking the flames further. His actions led to him being banned from one of the show's reunion specials, and reportedly being reprimanded by Channel 4 bosses for divulging details about his experiences on the show on a podcast – deemed a breach of the MAFS' strict non-disclosure policy.

Since the series rapped, meanwhile, Luke and Jay have gone their separate ways, whilst Jordan and Erica's relationship continues to thrive.
Now, Luke, who claims to have lost two stone in weight since appearing on the show, has taken to Instagram to promote the event, which will be held at the Indigo at London's O2 on February 9. DKM Plush Boxing, which is hosting the bout, declared on the platform: "IT IS ON! After all the talk, all the accusations and the war of words, Luke Worley & Jordan Gayle will meet inside the ring on Friday 9th February at The Indigo O2 in London.
"You’ve seen the series and you’ve seen social media since, There really is no love lost between these two, everything is on the line and pride sits right at the top of the list! The event promises to produce an action packed evening of boxing with a stacked undercard loaded with top British talent and entertainment with many of the MAFS 2023 gang inside the arena to support their fellow cast members."
The announcement comes after WhatsApp messages between the pair about a fight were circulated online. In the exchange, personal trainer Jordan wrote: "Message me privately Luke to start talking about planning the boxing to make it happen soon. I’m bored of all this talking and want to put an end to it and act like proper men."
Luke later responded: "Let’s get this over the line because I can’t think of anything better than putting this p**** asleep in the ring." The showdown is part of a larger show put on by DKM in the wake of a surge in popularity in celebrity fights made popular by the likes of YouTubers KSI and Jake Paul.

Fans appeared to be sceptical about the match, however, with one responding to the announcement: "This is just embarrassing! One minute Jordan and Erica are traumatised by violence, now this. Not even fighters I hope people don't actually pay to see this pair fighting! Like come on get a grip you went on a program don't like each other now need to make some money. Boring."
Another commented: "Manipulated the producers into getting Luke chucked off the show, cos you were so traumatised…. And then you do this! Great acting Jordan and Erica!" A third added: "Absolutely love you both Erica & Jordan. Lot of respect for you both but sorry this fight is childish. Even if Jordan wins Luke doesn't have the ability to keep his mouth shut." And a fourth said: "I really dont get this… all the drama on the show about violence and how traumatising it apparently was and he wants to do this… very embarrassing…"
