ONE mother's DIY SOS dream turned into a nightmare after vicious trolls attacked her family.
Jackie Hutchinson – whose son Jordan suffers from cerebral palsy and epilepsy – was left devastated when her loved ones became the target of online bullies, after having their house renovated for free in 2019.
Jackie, her husband Colin and their three children had an "amazing experience" while filming the BBC programme, but its aftermath left a sour taste in their mouth,
The clan, from Corby, Northamptonshire, began shooting with presenter Nick Knowles before the pandemic.
But since the rest of the series could only be completed last year, their episode didn't make it to screens until May 2022.
Jackie is now claiming they faced accusations of being on benefits and selling their house to move to Dubai – which she denies.

She told MailOnline, "A few people who had been working on our home and wanted their five minutes of fame started targeting our family on social media, suggesting we were a bit of a con!
'It was messages, negative comments from people, asking why their donated work hadn't yet been featured."
While Colin, 41, is a full-time carer to 20-year-old Jordan, some members of the public couldn't understand why he wasn't able to work a day job as well.
She continued: "I could sense people had been thinking, 'He doesn't work, they've got a £100,000 grand in the bank,' and, 'It's a con because the programme hasn't aired.'

"It was a horrible time but thankfully all the hype has now died down."
After forwarding their hate mail to the BBC, the family were advised to disable their social media accounts – which they did.
These days, Jordan works in a voluntary role and passed all his exams. He plays pool in his spare time, even competing in a local league.
