My Mum, Your Dads Natalie Russell gives emotional update after shock Paul Edwards split
My Mum, Your Dad star Natalie Russell has given an update after announcing her shock split from Paul Edwards, who she met on the hit ITV show.
On Saturday, September 23, Natalie took to Instagram to announce that she and Paul had gone their separate ways, after having one of the strongest connections on the programme.
She posted an image of herself from the show, where she said: "Obviously in the real world, it's not like this."
A second snap saw her and Paul standing with Elliot and Sharon, who were another strong couple in the retreat.
In a heartfelt statement in the caption, Natalie wrote: "Hey everyone
"Firstly just wanted to say thank you for the overwhelming support from everyone who has watched the show and how invested you have been with our journey. It was an incredible experience and one that we will be forever grateful for taking part in.
"Paul and I had an incredible experience in the retreat and loved every moment, we continued that connection over the summer and had some great times together. Unfortunately in early August we decided to call a day on the relationship. We are both still friends and wish each other the best. I also made some incredible friendships that I’m so grateful for. Thank you for your continued support and we’re very thankful to @davinamccall @itv @mymumyourdaduk for all we gained from the experience."
Show host Davina sweetly commented: "So much love to you both . Love you Nathalie."
Another person wrote: "The connection was real for that time. At least you know you can feel that 'feeling' again. Who knows you both may reconnect in the near future. It was beautiful to watch and literally filled my heart and I don't even know you both."
A third said: "Aaw I’m really gutted to hear this!! Out of you all, I thought you had the best connection! Please stay strong and know that YOu ARE worthy of love and deserve every happiness in the future!"
A few hours later, Natalie once again took to Instagram to share an emotional video as she thanked her followers for their support, as she promised to get back to their messages, whilst adding that she needed to 'decompress' after the show aired recently.
She said it was very 'bittersweet' to watch the show back.
In the caption, she wrote: "So grateful for you all. I’ll do an update video in a few days. Thank you for all the love and hope you stick around and continue to do life’s journey with me.
"Big love."
