Strictlys Johannes Radebe breaks down as he talks about missing his mother
Loose Women: Johannes Radebe emotional as he talked about his mum
Johannes Radebe broke down in tears as he talked about his mother on Thursday’s Loose Women.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional had been opening up about his past and his relationship with his mother when he became choked up.
As he detailed his new book which reflects on his life, he talked about growing up and being bullied at school as well as his life in South Africa with his mum.
“Was that difficult to write about?” Nadia Sawalha sked him.
“It was, yeah,” the 36-year-old replied, adding: “It really, really was.”

He continued: “And it wouldn’t be something that I’ve made peace with when it’s happened in the past.
“Because I had an opportunity to hear my mum’s side of the story.
“As I was writing the book I sat down and she had been interviewed and I asked her questions like, ‘Why did you make that decision? Why did you stay that long in a marriage that didn’t serve you?'”
“Was it hard to talk to your mum about it, about that?” Katie Piper asked.

“It was, it was,” Joannes admitted, continuing: “And I dedicated the book to my mother.”
Sounding emotional, he added: “Because I want to applaud her love…”
The dancer was overcome with emotion and had to stop talking as Katie and Kelly Holmes comforted him.
“It’s a lot, isn’t it?” Katie sympathised, adding: “To sit down and write about those things.”
Johannes was visibly tearful but managed to talk more about the book and his past.
Later in the programme, he was back to his usual energetic self as he attempted to do as many jump swuats as he could in heels in an effort to mimic Madonna’s impressive 15 she managed during a performance from her 2001 Drowned World Tour.
The resurfaced clip has become a TikTok trend and the Loose Women attempted to give it a go, with fitness experts Kelly and Johannas center stage.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
