Holly Willoughby quits ITV’s This Morning after 14 years
This Morning hosts Craig Doyle and Rochelle Humes have paid tribute to Holly Willoughby after her sudden exit from the show.
On Tuesday evening, the 42-year-old took to social media and told her followers she won’t be returning after over a decade.
Addressing her announcement on Wednesday’s instalment of This Morning, presenter Rochelle touched on Holly’s decision.
She said: “We want to start by sending our love, best wishes and respect to our Holly.”
Craig added: “Last night, Holly made what we know would’ve been a heartbreaking decision to leave This Morning after 14 years.

Rochelle continued: “Holly loved her job here and was looking really forward to the future of the show, but recent events, especially in the past week, have been hard to deal with as she’s quite rightly putting her family first.”
Craig added: “On behalf of everyone here in front and behind the camera, we just loved working with Holly.
“She made coming to work so much fun, we’re all really really sad and we’re going to miss her.”
As Rochelle highlighted how proud the show was of what the presenter has achieved, she added: “She will forever be one of us.”

Holly’s last appearance on This Morning was last Wednesday alongside Josie Gibson as she told viewers ‘see you tomorrow’.
However, the star was absent from the show on Thursday following an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her was rumbled by police.
With many fans wondering whether or not she’d return following the scare, Holly confirmed she wouldn’t on her Instagram.
She wrote: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.
“This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together.”
In her statement, the 42-year-old thanked the team at ITV for their support along with the guests she’s interviewed throughout the years.
Signing off, she added: “Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.
“Richard and Judy said ‘We only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’.
“It’s been an honour to just be part of it’s story and I know this story has many chapters left to go.”
Holly added she’s made this decision for herself and her family before telling her followers she’d miss them.
