THE rapper Young Capone has died at the age of 35.

News of his death comes after he was believed to have gone missing in Chicago.


His publicist Aleesha Carter shared on Instagram on Tuesday: “This is with a heavy heavy heart that I’m even posting this.

"We made magic when we strategically put out projects, always.

“Young Capone aka Dopeboy Ra aka Rara was one of my first Hip Hop/ Rap clients, and I can’t believe the news I just got of his unexpected passing!

“A friend…a client and just huge in East Atlanta. This is not the easiest post at all. Rest easy, RIP.”

The music star's cause of death has not been revealed.

Tributes have poured in as news of his death emerged.

One mourner said: "Rest in power to a real one!"

The DJ Gutta Down posted two praying emojis as he paid tribute to Young Capone.

Young Capone, who was born Rodriguez Smith, first burst on to the underground hip-hop scene in Georgia in the mid-2000s, per XXL Magazine.

He was known for the albums Tha Life of a Youngsta and Paper and Politics.

He released his final album SlumMade 2.0 late last year.
