Lily Allen looks like a new person after 11-hour Disney Ariel hair transformation
Lily Allen looks like a different person after unveiling a dramatic new hair transformation that was seemingly inspired by the Disney character, Ariel.
The 38 year old Smile singer took to Instagram to show off her new red locks as she stood beside the train tracks in the New York City Subway.
Gone was her previous faded-pink pixie cut, and in its place were flowing red hair, over which she wore a black beanie hat.
She wore a slick of rouge lipgloss on her pout, making her look a lot like the fictional character, Jessica Rabbit, although it seems that Lily was channeling Disney's Ariel as she added a mermaid emoji in the post's caption.
Her fans rushed to praise Lily's new hair in the comments on the post, as one wrote: "This hair and this lip color?! UNREAL."
Another said: "You with red hair is such a dreamy look," whilst a third commented: "Gorgeous in red hair."
"Red hair really suits you," said someone else, as a fifth gushed: "Ruby red beauty."
Her new look is the result of an 11-hour transformation by the hair extension specialist Hair by Ester, who has a salon in New York.
The hairstylist responsible for Lily's dramatic hair overhaul took to TikTok to explain everything that went into it, as she said: “When Lily Allen hits you in the DMS, you got to answer."
She went on: “I don’t think either of us were prepared for the intensity or complexity of this install – it was probably the most complex install I’ve done to date due to her really short pixie crop and the really dense, thick hair that she has.”
After Ester took her TikTok followers through the step-by-step transformation of Lily's hair, she said that all of her creations are "wearable art", as she concluded: "Lily Allen – slay."
Lily was recently dogged by rumours of a split with her husband of three years, Stranger Things actor David Harbour, 48, however, she put them to rest during a recent outing with him at the Cleveland Cavaliers v New York Knicks, NBA Basketball game in Madison Square Garden, New York.
Mum of two Lily looked fantastic in a beige jumper and black jeans as she sat alongside her husband of three years, who was dressed in dark colours.
They were also snapped backstage as David threw a basketball into the air.
Lily shared a video to her Instagram Stories in which she and David were captured on the big screen at the game as they smiled and waved.
