Blue Note Records and WACKO MARIA Unveil Collaborative Collaboration
WACKO MARIA and prestigious jazz label Blue Note Records have teamed up for a collaborative collection honoring four albums released via the label.
The capsule pays homage to Art Blakey’s 1954 album A Night At Birdland Vol. 1, Sonny Clark’s Cool Struttin’ from 1958, Freddie Hubbard’s 1960 debut album Open Sesame and Kenny Burrell’s Midnight Blue from 1963. Pressed on a series of cotton and jacquard knit sweatshirts in black, white, gray, blue, red, charcoal and brown, the album artworks are presented as the main design feature with a simple maximized print. There’s also a special iteration with the Blue Note Records logo on the chest, while the artwork is moved to the back of the apparel.
The Blue Note Records x WACKO MARIA collaboration is available now at WACKO MARIA stores, authorized dealers and the WACKO MARIA online webstore. Prices range from ¥19,000 JPY (approximately $130 USD) to ¥44,000 JPY (approximately $305 USD).
