Christopher Ward’s the Twelve Sports Watch Now Comes in 36mm
Christopher Ward just dropped its popular sports watch model, The Twelve, in a brand new 36mm case size. From classic and understated, to bold and summery hues, the new timepieces are offered in four colorways, spanning Nordic Blue, Glacier Blue, Frosted Lichen Green, and Alta White.
Living inside the 12-sided stainless steel case is a stunning textured dial featuring a repeated pattern of Christopher Ward’s twin-flags. The downsized model emphasizes a simple dial design that completely omits the date window, a feature that is available with its 40mm counterparts. Speaking on this design decision, CEO and co-founder, Mike France notes that “On a smaller dial like this, we prefer the clean, simple look. It’s encouraged us to change the dial furniture, so the hour markers are proportionately slimmer and perhaps even more elegant than on the larger version.”
On a technical note, the timepiece beats at a frequency of 28,000vph with a running time of up to 38 hours. It’s powered by the Sellita SW200-1 movement and is also capable of withstanding up to 100 meters underwater. Accompanying the watch is a tonal single-link metal bracelet, offering a sleek and seamless appeal. Rubber strap options are also available, which are equipped with a quick-release system that allows effortless wear.
The Twelve (36) retails for $1,225 USD on a metal bracelet and $995 USD in the rubber strap option. All aforementioned colorways are currently available to shop via Christopher Ward’s official website.
In case you missed it, Chrono24 releases a limited-edition fragment design watch case.
