Matthew Perry, 54, keeps it casual ahead of rare outing in Los Angeles
Matthew Perry was snapped dressed in workout gear as he left a building to run errands on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The Friends actor, 54, opted for a low-key look and took his morning coffee to go earlier in the week.
He chose to wear some grey Nike workout shorts over the top of some tight cycling shorts for his outing in the famous city.
The Chandler Bing actor added a navy sweat-proof Nike polo shirt to complete his uber-casual outfit of the day and rested some sunglasses on his head.
Matthew made sure he was comfortable in some black trainers made by the same sportswear brand and some matching black socks.
The star’s errands run came after he celebrated his birthday in August and appeared to be looking after his health following the release of his memoir that detailed his journey to sobriety.
Released last November, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing revealed how the hugely famous actor battled a drug and alcohol addiction – to which he nearly lost his life.
In his bestselling memoir, the actor admitted that he was told he had a ‘two percent’ chance of surviving after his colon burst from opioid abuse.
The unsettling health scare left him lying in hospital fighting for his life for weeks and he was placed in a coma.
He previously opened up to People magazine about his health woes and explained: ‘The doctors told my family that I had a 2 percent chance to live.
‘I was put on a thing called an ECMO machine, which does all the breathing for your heart and your lungs. And that’s called a Hail Mary. No one survives that.’
The A-lister outlined the severity of his addiction and said that he needed 14 surgeries to help repair and undo all of the damage to his abdominal.
He also revealed that he had checked into a rehab facility 15 times over the previous years in hopes of healing his relationship with drugs and addiction.
Matthew also explained that during the years spent making the sit-com Friends, he was taking 55 Vicodin per day and had lost weight, weighing just 128 pounds but he ‘didn’t know how to stop.’
