Lottie Moss was dubbed the ‘new Kate Moss‘ at just 13 years old when she featured as a bridesmaid in her supermodel sister’s wedding to now ex-husband Jamie Hince in 2011.

However their once close relationship they might have shared seems to have all but vanished in recent years – with Lottie, 25, revealing Kate ‘doesn’t want a relationship’ with her.

It comes after years of ups and downs for the sisters, who once appeared to share such a bond that Kate invited her younger sibling to stay at her Cotswold home during the Covid-19 pandemic.

However since then, Lottie has claimed Kate has ‘never really supported her’ and said she grew up ‘pretty much on her own.’

Here FEMAIL reveals the highs and lows of the relationship between the two women…

Lottie Moss was dubbed the ‘new Kate Moss ‘ at just 13 years old when she featured as a bridesmaid in her supermodel sister’s wedding to now ex-husband Jamie Hince in 2011 – but their once close relationship  appears to have disappeared

It comes after years of apparent ups and downs for the sisters, who once appeared to share such a bond that Kate invited her younger sibling to stay at her Cotswold home during the Covid-19 pandemic (left, and right, together at Kate’s wedding in 2011)

Lottie is the daughter of Kate’s father, travel agent Peter Moss, and his second wife, Norwegian Inger Solnordal, and was raised in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

The family business is a shop selling vintage clothes, jewellery, homeware and food.

There was an inevitability that she would become a model, having been a beautiful bridesmaid, aged 13, at Kate’s wedding to musician Jamie Hince.

She was said to have looked like an angel from a Botticelli painting with a garland of wild flowers in her hair.

She signed with Storm Management in 2014 and began a mainstream modelling career.

In her late teens, she decided modelling was the career for her, telling an interviewer: ‘My sister and I are two different people and she is on her path and I am on my own. It kind of runs in the family. Kate was a massive part of why I started.’

Kate and Lottie were spotted side-by-side at fashion shows, including a Topshop runway show in 2014.

Meanwhile her first photoshoot was published in Teen Vogue, and she had her first full editorial not long afterwards in Dazed & Confused, a magazine which was co-founded by Kate’s ex, Jefferson Hack.

She juggled revising for her A-level exams with a red-carpet appearance at the Cannes film festival.

In a diary for Vogue, Lottie wrote: ‘Sometimes I feel like I live in two worlds. One minute I’m in a Dior suite in Cannes and then the next I’m in a classroom in Sussex.’

During lockdown in 2020, the sisters appeared so close that Kate invited Lottie to stay at her Cotswold home.

While Kate is private about her home, younger sister Lottie shared a number of pictures of the property on her Instagram page.

In 2021, Lottie began posting explicit content on the website OnlyFans, leaving Kate reportedly ‘mortified’

She posted a number of snaps of her Grade-II listed home, including posing in her underwear.

In one snap, Lottie can be seen sitting in a classic sitting room, complete with deep red walls, a monochrome lamp, wooden shelving and a photograph of a young Queen Elizabeth.

When Lottie finally departed the Vogue cover star’s home ‘in a foul mood’, she left behind two bottles of her sister’s favourite bottle of wine which was interpreted as a ‘f**k you’ gesture, according to the publication.

A source later told Page Six that Kate reportedly had ‘fallen in and out of sympathy’ for her and has been left with her ‘head in her hands’ due to Lottie’s questionable career choices.

Page Six claimed a family source told how even Kate’s daughter Lila, 20, ‘won’t have anything to do with Lottie’ due to her antics with the wrong crowd.

The insider said: ‘During lockdown, Kate invited Lottie to come and live with her in the Cotswolds at her country house. Lila point-blank refused to have anything to do with Lottie on social media.’

They added: ‘Kate was frustrated because Lottie kept on wanting to drink and posting sexually provocative stuff on Instagram all the time.

‘It isn’t easy for Kate to be around people who are drinking, and she definitely won’t be around anyone who is using cocaine.

A TIMELINE OF THE MOSS’ RELATIONSHIP

9 January 1998 – Lottie Moss is born to  Kate’s father, travel agent Peter Moss, and his second wife, Norwegian Inger Solnordal.

2011 – Lottie is a bridesmaid at Kate’s wedding to musician Jamie Hince and immediately attracts global attention .

2014 – Lottie signed with Storm Management in 2014 and began a mainstream modelling career.

The sisters are snapped side-by-side at London Fashion Week.

2020 – Lottie stays at Kate’s Cotswold home during Covid-19 lockdown.

Sources later say Kate’s daughter Lila ‘won’t have anything to do with Lottie’ and Kate was ‘frustrated because Lottie kept wanting to drink and post sexually provocative stuff on Instagram’.

2021 – Lottie launches her OnlyFans page and begins to transition to more X-rated snaps and videos.

She admits it’s hard to be compared to Kate, and says she ‘wanted to do something of her own’ so ‘now takes naked pictures’.

2022 – Lottie goes to rehab for substance abuse issues. She later says Kate was supportive of her stint in rehab.

However Page Six reports Kate is ‘mortified’ by Lottie’s behaviour’.

The same year, it was revealed Storm modelling agency had deleted Lottie from its website, prompting speculation that they have axed the troubled star over her wild lifestyle, cocaine addiction, and cosmetic surgery.

Months later, Lottie hit out at her famous half-sister Kate, saying she has ‘never really supported me’ in a scathing Instagram post.

Sources tell Alison Boshoff Kate was said to be hurt by Lottie’s comments.

2023 – Despite Kate’s comments, Lottie goes on to write a number of essays about their relationship claiming she was offered no support from her sister as she made her first tentative steps as a model in her own right.

Lottie is due to appear on the latest series of Celebs Go Dating – with experts saying they hope the show will be ‘an olive branch’ between the sisters because they are ‘not close.’

Lottie says she is ‘not close’ to Kate in an interview, adding: ‘She doesn’t have to want to have a relationship with me.’

‘Lottie had been in Los Angeles, running with a fast crowd, and Lila was not into it at all. She is disdainful of Lottie.

‘Another time Lottie dyed her hair pink with Lila’s help, and Lila refused to be in a single picture on Instagram with her.’

And by the following year, Lottie began to transition to a more X-rated career after joining subscription site OnlyFans, where she shares racy snaps and videos.

In 2021, Lottie admitted to finding it ‘hard’ being compared to half-sister Kate, who was scouted by Storm founder Sarah Doukas in 1988.

She said: ‘It’s hard when your sister is Kate Moss and being compared to her. I had a great time modelling, but everything was handed to me, I never felt like I worked for anything.

‘I wanted something of my own. So now I take naked pictures.’

Then during 2022, Lottie went to rehab for substance abuse issues and was thought to be receiving treatment at a facility in Arizona.

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Lottie said that although she is not ‘close’ with Kate, her sister had been supportive of her recent stint in rehab.

Centre stage: Lottie walks the Christmas catwalk for Dolce & Gabbana at London store Harrods in November 2017 – she later said Kate offered her ‘no support’

She said: ‘Me and my sister have never been that close, so we never really spoke about it until I was in rehab. She was great, she said, “I love you, you’re great”.’

However it was then claimed by Page Six that Kate was ‘mortified’ by Lottie’s behaviour, which saw her joke about drugs while in the rehab centre.

The same year, it was revealed Storm modelling agency has deleted Lottie from its website, prompting speculation that they have axed the troubled star over her wild lifestyle, cocaine addiction, and cosmetic surgery.

And months later, Lottie hit out at her famous half-sister Kate, saying she has ‘never really supported me’ in a scathing Instagram post.

The OnlyFans star shared a candid message about growing up in the ‘toxic’ modelling industry and the toll it took on her as a young girl.

While acknowledging she was raised in a privileged household, Lottie suggested she felt no support from sibling Kate and said she was ‘pretty much on my own’.

Sharing a stunning photo of herself in a sleeveless beige top, Lottie wrote: ‘This year has been a crazy one for me, I started out being in the worst place of my life and ended up in the best place I’ve ever been mentally.

‘I know it’s hard for people to understand but being In a toxic industry at a very young age really took its toll on me.

In 2020, Lottie spent a number of months at Kate’s home in the Cotswolds during the Covid-19 pandemic

Sources said Kate grew ‘frustrated because Lottie kept on wanting to drink and posting sexually provocative stuff on Instagram all the time’

‘I understand I have come from a very privileged position being the sister of someone very famous but believe it or not that person never really supported me.

‘My parents were amazing but could not relate to what I was going through and did not know the full extent of what I was going through most of the time, I was pretty much on my own so I had to navigate this by myself and do the best I could which I feel I have.’

Lottie went on to say that she didn’t feel fashion modelling was for her but she remains grateful for the opportunities it gave her.

The star added that she didn’t want her post to come across as a ‘poor me’ and said everyone, regardless of their background has their ‘own traumas and experiences’.

However Kate was said to be hurt by Lottie’s comments, with a source telling Alison Boshoff: ‘What Lottie said on Instagram, and the timing of it, is very sad and rather shocking.

‘They haven’t had anything to do with each other whatever for a time now because Kate needed to stay away from Lottie and her party lifestyle.

‘But Kate did make efforts with Lottie and even had her to stay in the Cotswolds for months during lockdown.’

Page Six claimed a family source told how even Kate’s daughter Lila, 20, ‘won’t have anything to do with Lottie’ due to her antics with the wrong crowd (pictured Kate and Lila)

Despite that, Lottie shared a similar sentiment with Glamour at the start of the year, writing: ‘When I started out, I was always just Kate Moss’s sister. That was really hard for me growing up, especially not being that close with my sister (we still don’t really have a relationship now, which is something I never really speak about).

‘But back then, I was bombarded with people constantly asking me about my sister – I’d go to my friends’ houses and there would be pictures of her on the walls – and it really triggered a lot of abandonment issues.’

Lottie claimed she was offered no support from her sister as she made her first tentative steps as a model in her own right.

She added: ‘It’s hard when you have someone ‘close’ to you doing the exact same job as you, who’s already very prominent in the industry, but not having any advice or guidance.’

In a self-penned essay for Newsweek in March, Lottie touched on similar sentiments.

She said that while her sister provided her a useful stepping stone, she was determined to make her own money herself and used her earnings to pay for private schooling at St. Bede’s School in Redhill.

In 2021, Lottie began to transition to a more X-rated career after joining subscription site OnlyFans, where she shares racy snaps and videos

‘I think a common misconception is that because Kate, who is 24 years older than me, is rich and famous, so were my family. But obviously, that was her money and her fame, not ours,’ Lottie writes.

Lottie continued: ‘I knew that my sister Kate was famous and growing up, I idolised her, thinking she was the coolest.

‘I never got much love or attention from her though, which has always upset me, especially because people have brought her up to me for as long as I can remember.’

‘How do I say to people that I don’t know her and that she doesn’t reply to my texts? I honestly think the whole “nepo baby” concept is so weird; there are so many people in the world that have had obvious advantages in their career because of who they know or who someone in their family is, not just famous people.’

Lottie is now due to appear on the latest series of Celebs Go Dating – and the dating experts on the show suggest Kate may not want to watch the programme.

Speaking in a new interview, dating agent Anna, 41, shared her hopes for the siblings to mend their broken relationship.

Lottie has hit out at her famous half-sister Kate a number of times over the past year, saying she has ‘never really supported me’ in one scathing Instagram post (pictured)

She told The Mirror: ‘I would be so intrigued if Kate Moss was going to watch this series, I hope she does, I think she’ll find out a lot of interesting and perhaps upsetting things about her sister.’

Anna added: ‘I would love it to be able to be, perhaps an olive branch between the two sisters, who I believe, it’s no secret that they’re not that close.”

‘I would love it if Kate would use this opportunity to reach out to her little sister and give her a much-needed hug but I think she needs.’

And she made similar comments this weekend, revealing that her and her famous sister don’t get along like people assume.

She told The Sun: ‘Me and my sister have never been close. There is a big age gap.’

The OnlyFans star added: ‘She doesn’t have to want to have a relationship with me.

‘When I was younger, I couldn’t understand it. I thought: “Why is someone in my family not wanting a relationship with me? I don’t get it.”

The blonde went on to say that after speaking to others around her, she has come to understand that ‘family is complicated’ and just because of Kate’s status, it doesn’t make their situation any different.

She said: ‘We just don’t see eye to eye on many things. I love her. She’s my sister, but we’re just not close. It is what it is.’
