A savvy shopper has shared six easy ways to save money when shopping at Lidl, and why you should always have your phone at hand in store.
Kathryn Leech, known online as ‘Kat Saves’, shared the tips to her 31,000 TikTok followers showing them how to make the most out of their money.
It comes as Brits are battling the cost-of-living crisis affecting household bills and soaring inflation, which has driven up food prices.
But amid the inflation crisis, Kathryn has found ways to stretch her money, and has instructed others to do the same.
A savvy shopper has shared six easy ways to save money when shopping at Lidl, and why you should always have your phone at the ready in store
Kathryn Leech told her followers to look out for the ‘Pick of the week’ which offers discounts on fruit and veg items throughout the week
Lidl shoppers should have no problem searching for price cuts, as any discounts are highlighted by a bright orange card placed above it
According to the bargain hunter, shoppers must download the Lidl Plus app if they want to get discounts on their shopping.
The rewards app is available on the App store and Google Play and offers weekly coupons, prizes and daily deals, so be sure to keep your phone at the ready next time you’re thinking about shopping at the discount store.
But don’t stop there, Kathryn told her followers they should look for various in-store deals such as ‘Pick of the week’.
These are fruit an veg items which are on offer, although they change every week Kathryn said: ‘It’s definitely worth checking out.’

‘When it’s gone’ is another section of Lidle which Kathryn told her followers to look out for, as it offers discounts on various items
The money-saving whizz suggested shoppers should keep a keen eye for any price cuts, she said they will find deals by looking for a ‘bright orange fluorescent label’ scattered above items in the shop.
Kathryn urged her followers to look out for the ‘middle of Lidl’, which is – as you would expect – in middle of the store.
According to the saving expert, this section offers ‘the most random items that are all really discounted and are really good prices.’
She said to look out for offers on Sundays and Thursdays, but don’t be disheartened if you can’t find anything you like as the deals change every week.
Kathryn urged her followers to get the Lidl plus app to make the most out of their money in the discount store, shoppers can hunt for bargains and redeem them in store

Like most supermarkets, Lidl has a reduced to clear section. Telling her followers to look out for reduced items, Kathryn said: ‘They do this in every single shop, we all know this by now, these are things that are going out of date so just have a look out for that label.’
The final thing money savers should look out for in Lidl is the ‘when it’s gone’ section, which Kathryn explained: ‘Is basically loads of random items they’re trying to get rid of them and they are all on offer.’
On her money-saving account, Kat shares the best deals with her followers and where to find food and beauty ‘dupes’ for cheaper.
The TikToker also has a ‘Never buy’ series which has gathered a lot of traction on the app, which reveals items shoppers should never buy from budget supermarkets.
