Britains Got Talent star makes tearful plea after losing everything

Former Britain's Got Talent drag star La Voix has made a tearful plea to her followers after her van, containing all of the equipment for her shows, got stolen.

The 43 year old, who rose to fame when she appeared on BGT in 2014 as part of The London Big Gay Band, which made it to the semi final, posted a video to Instagram asking for help to find the van.

Dressed in a red silk robe, adorned with her act initials, La Voix could be seen in full makeup with her red hair teased into glamorous curls as she talked to the camera, with tears swimming in her eyes.

She said: "Hello Darlings. I've woken up this morning to the worst imaginable thing that could have happened. My tour van, with everything for my tour, has been stolen."

"Sound equipment, lights, every costume, every wig, every piece of equipment I need to put on my tour show – everything was in this van and it was stolen from outside of the house this morning."

She then looked down briefly as she struggled to collect herself before continuing: “I'm just appealing if anyone sees the van, if you're offered any dresses any costumes please, please, please, please, inform the police, let me know.

"I've got to got to get this stuff back. This is everything. This is my livelihood. This is my business. It's not just me it's my crew, my band, about 10-15 people rely on this show for their income."

She went on to talk about how she and her crew struggled in the pandemic, but had finally got the show which she said she had "put everything in to".

Tears ran down her face as she said she couldn't do it "without my tools".

"Fans are replaceable, everything's replaceable, but not the stuff that I need to just go out there and make people have a good night. It's my job to make people laugh and they have taken away the tools that I need to make that happen."

In the caption, La Voix wrote: "PLEASE SHARE! HELP! cash reward for finding the van and it’s contents REG: DW52BBB

"Stolen from: Tithe Farm, Houghton Regis – Early Hours of Wednesday – 20/09/23. Van is a Citron Relay Luton Box Van, white solid drivers side, Black Curtain passenger side with tail lift."

Her followers and celebrity pals rushed to offer their sympathies, with drag act The Vivienne – who starred on Dancing on Ice 2023 – writing: "Omg babe, I’m so sorry. I will share for you. Is there anything I can do? X"

Former Loose Women star Jane McDonald re-shared La Voix's post on her Instagram stories, as she attempted to raise awareness of the incident.

Someone else commented: "This is so awful. So sorry my love. Crossing everything that they are tracked down xx".
