Coronation Street stars year-long recovery squashes Im A Celeb rumours
Ant and Dec share I’m A Celeb behind-the-scenes clip
It looks as though the chances of Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall heading into the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! jungle are looking slim.
The 41-year-old, who is known for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, was one of the many stars being mentioned to appear in this year’s series.
However, the actor recently revealed he’s going to be recovering from surgery, which could take up to a year.
Taking to Instagram this week, Alan shared an image of himself to his 233,000 followers in bed post-operation.
Giving a slight smile with both thumbs up, fans could see one of his legs elevated by a pillow.

He captioned the image: “ACL Reconstruction surgery [sic]. Well, On Friday I underwent ACL reconstruction surgery. I have been told the surgery went really well.
“I know I have a long 9-12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me but I’m sure with the support of family & friends I’ll get there.
“Thank you to the amazing! Staff at Oaklands xx …and also Thanks to my very own nurse Ratched @missdrewmerry93 [sic] Any rehab tips or advice??”
As the 41-year-old was reportedly joining the line-up, it wasn’t long before fans commented that it looks as though he won’t be starring in the series that starts later this month.
