GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes has addressed his This Morning exit in a new interview about his life and career.
The Northern Irish broadcaster currently hosts Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel on GB News.
The Isabel in the partnership is of course Isabel Webster, who joined GB News in 2021.
However, they first worked together on Sky News a decade ago before leading Sunrise in 2014.
He claimed Isabel, his good friend, instigated his hosting comeback after his axe from This Morning.

“I didn’t know what to do or where to go,” Eamonn, 63, explained to Hello! “Then Isabel called me and said, ‘Why don’t you come to GB News?'”
While he had his concerns about joining another morning show following his time at ITV, he shared of Isabel: “We’re like family.
“I can’t ever imagine us arguing or not having her in my life. In this business, no one else will fight your corner.”
He added: “But if anyone had a go at Isabel, I might punch them.”

Meanwhile, Isabel said: “I’m allowed to be rude about Eamonn but no one else is.”
While Eamonn is no longer connected with ITV, his wife Ruth certainly is as she is a regular Loose Women host.
Since Holly Willoughby’s departure on This Morning earlier this year, the show has been presented by a rotation of hosts. They include Rochelle Humes, Rylan Clark, Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary replaced Eamonn and Ruth in recent years on This Morning.
They host the show on Fridays but have presented alongside other hosts since Holly and Phillip Schofield’s shock exit.
Phillip cut ties with ITV in May after admitting to having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a male colleague.
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITVX.
