I made Big Brother history but heres my warning to new cast of housemates
Former Big Brother contestant Simon Gross has issued a warning to the cast of the 2023 series before the launch show.
The reality star moved into the most famous house in Britain back in 2015 and was brutally evicted after just two hours of entering through the front doors. He was sent packing after a shock twist as part of the Timebomb series but was brought back two weeks later.
After a five-year hiatus, Big Brother is once again set to welcome a new bunch of housemates on Sunday (October 8) and the TV personality has admitted that the process can be "torture" at times.

Speaking to Daily Star, Simon said: "If you go in the Big Brother house you've got to be tough to survive in there because it's a pressure cooker and it's torture sometimes. I had an horrendous time in that house at the beginning. I did turn it around. I'm very grateful for the experience and I don't regret doing it but had a hard time."
Opening up about his first eviction, he explained: "I went in the house and I was evicted two hours later. I'm the only housemate in Big Brother history to have been evicted within two hours. They played a very brutal stunt on me in that show.
"I was very dignified about it because they knew I came from a theatre background so they must have though 'oh he's going to be able to take it', 'he's used to being rejected' but It was crazy. Obviously they planned this stunt and my family had come down from the Lake District to see me in the house so my mum was absolutely devastated.
Simon says after appearing on the spin-off show with Rylan Clark he was sent home but received a call from bosses wondering if he'd be interested in re-entering the house.
He said: "Maybe deep down I knew I was going back. I went home. Can you imagine how it felt being excited about going into the Big Brother house and then being evicted and then going into a people carrier and going?

"They rang me two weeks later and asked 'Would you fancy going back into the house?'. I just bursted into tears and I was said 'Yeah'. They don't give you anytime so a car came for me and I went back in the next day."
Simon returned on Day 18 and was ninth to be evicted on Day 46. Opening up about his reservations for the rebooted version of Big Brother, which returns this weekend, he said: "Will the generation of today understand Big Brother? It seems to me that they are stripping it dry and I think they could be making a mistake.

"People like Craig [Phillips, from series one] and Nasty Nick were just everyday people off the streets which made it so interesting to watch. Will the generation today relate to everyday people off the street? Because even Love Island are still putting in people with some famous connections or media trained. I'm interested to see the reaction. I think it's an iconic show that will always be the mother of reality shows and I think it's been missed by a lot of people."
Big Brother: The Launch airs Sunday at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITV2 and ITVX
