ITV Im A Celebrity star tipped to host This Morning with girlfriend

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner Sam Thompson is already hotly-tipped to become a new presenter on This Morning.

Fresh of his enormous success on the ITV reality show, Made in Chelsea favourite Sam, 31, has also opened up on the possibility of doing a joint episode with his girlfriend Zara McDermott.

Zara, 26, first became known for her stint on Love Island, is now a keen documentarian and most recently starred on Strictly Come Dancing.

Sadly, the decision had already been made for Pete Wicks to fly out to Australia to greet best pal Sam on the bridge, as it had been assumed that Zara would be still be taking part in the BBC dance competition.

With Sam now heading back to the UK, and Zara also free for more projects, it could be the perfect time for the duo to team up for a new venture, and what's more, ITV could be keen to capitalise on their show winner's popularity in the public eye.

In a new interview with Daily Express, Sam shared: "I have absolutely no desire to not work with Zara! I love working with her, it is so fun. We've never really had much of an opportunity, to be honest. It's just never been the right time.”

“It’s all about trying to find the time, but one day I would absolutely love to. If I'm honest with you, I'd love to do a sort of hosting thing with her – like an Eamonn and Ruth! That would be fun," the podcast host added excitedly.

Fans will have to wait and see if the pair join the This Morning team, which has been on a rotation of presenters since Phillip Schofield's departure back in May and Holly Willoughby's most recent decision to step down from her role.

Despite that, bookmaker William Hill is already offering odds for Sam taking a spot on the daytime TV show, either as a guest host or in a permanent role, placing him 4/6 to join the presenting team between now and the end of next year.

“Sam Thompson’s reign as King of the Jungle may still be in its infancy, but we’re already looking ahead to what lies in store next for the Made in Chelsea star," William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said.

There's also a chance that the reality TV star will also follow Zara's journey in showbiz and take part in Strictly Come Dancing, with odds of 8/1 he will be swapping the jungle gear for ballroom shoes.

It comes as Sam shared a heartfelt snap of him about to board his flight back home to the UK and a special message for his fans, thanking them for all their support during his time in the jungle.

"I’M COMING HOME!!!! I only just got my phone back this morning, and I don’t quite know where to begin, but I want to start first of all by saying thank you," he said. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart, there aren’t quite the words to describe how grateful I am for each and everyone of you who supported me during my time in the jungle.

"You made a young boys dream (now slightly older) come true, and I will never ever forget that. When I first stepped foot in that jungle, I didn’t know what to expect, and I was a bit nervous about whether I was going to make myself look like a d**k as I know I’m a bit full on especially when there’s a lot of people and energy around at all times.

"Coupled with not knowing what was going on in the outside world, I would be lying if I didn’t say I was nervous!" the grateful winner went on. "Having said that, being on a show I genuinely never thought I’d get a chance to do, and getting to meet Ant and Dec and do all of these iconic experiences that I’ve always watched on the TV just made me so damn happy that I stopped worrying about all that on day 2!

"I had no idea of all the support, love and kindness that you all showed me, and reading some of your comments and messages, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude!!!" Sam went on, sharing his gratitude for getting to take part in Celebrity Cyclone.

He also said that every day he convinced himself Ant and Dec would tell him he was voted out of the camp, but felt more and more "humbled" to realise people were voting him as the days went on.
