Lorraine apologises for bad’ wardrobe error promising it ‘won’t happen again
Lorraine Kelly apologises for poppy blunder on GMB
Lorraine Kelly was quick to apologise after she realised her red poppy for Remembrance Day had vanished.
The blunder occurred as Susanna Reid informed Good Morning Britain viewers what was coming up on Lorraine’s Wednesday show.
Cutting to the 63-year-old in the studio, it wasn’t long before Lorraine quickly noticed her wardrobe error.
Slamming her chest she commented: “Oh my poppy! I forgot my poppy, for goodness’ sake, it must’ve fallen off!
“I had it on, but then I walked up the stairs, I do apologise. You know what, I shall wear about 10 so that it’s OK.”

Admitting she didn’t realise she wasn’t wearing one until she saw herself in the camera, Lorraine told the presenters she’d sort it out immediately.
Trying to make her feel better about the error, Susanna commented they easily fall off.
She replied: “Sometimes the pin doesn’t quite hold them in, does it? You are forgiven Lorraine.”
Lorraine added: “Thank you, but it will not happen again! That’s really bad, honestly.”

However, at the end of Good Morning Britain, ITV cut to Lorraine once again as she appeared wearing a poppy on her yellow blazer.
The red poppy should be worn during the Remembrance period which starts from the last Friday in October up until November 11.
Many ITV presenters have been wearing the new plastic-free poppy during broadcasts.
This year, poppies have gone plastic-free and recyclable for the first time in a bid to reduce single-use plastics.
The paper ones, which have been in the works for the past three years, will be made from the offcuts of coffee cups in production.
Over the years, there have been over 10 versions of the poppy with the latest change being the first redesign since the mid-1990s.
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am.
