Nineties pop icon unrecognisable 32 years after smash hit as she poses with A-list DJ | The Sun
A NINETIES pop icon was unrecognisable as she posed with an A-list DJ 32 years after her smash hit debut single.
More than three decades ago Crystal Waters landed a Top 10 in both her native US and the UK with megahit Gypsy Woman.
These days she looks completely different and Crystal, now 61, took to Instagram at the weekend to share a clip of her hanging out with Diplo.
She and Diplo filmed themselves singing along to Gypsy Woman before he joked: "You don't gotta work tonight!"
Crystal signed her first record deal in 1989 before releasing her debut track two years later.
Although she hasn't put out an album since 1997 with her self-titled third release, Crystal's most recent single was 2020's Party People.

Despite her instant success as an artist, Crystal previously revealed she kept her "normal" job for two years after her debut.
She told Vice: "I never had any idea it'd have the impact that it did. I thought it'd just be a Washington record, a Baltimore record, maybe a New York one if I was lucky.
"I even kept my job for two years after it came out. I remember doing Top of the Pops and thinking, "Yep, maybe I can go part time now…"
"It took me a while to realize just how big that song was, and still is. I could never have foreseen it. I just feel grateful and thankful that I sat down and wrote the song."
