As one of the world’s biggest stars, it is perhaps no surprise that Harry Styles’ latest attempt to achieve some anonymity didn’t quite go to plan.

The British superstar, 29, sent fans into meltdown last week when he debuted his new buzz cut on a night out with his rumored girlfriend Taylor Russell, sparking a global frenzy over the loss of his beloved curls.

But the reaction was a far cry from the singer’s initial intention – which was to try out a new look in the hope of bagging himself a ‘few weeks or months’ of anonymity.

‘Harry was looking for some anonymity,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘If shaving his head gets some people to not notice him for a few weeks or months, that’s about the best-case scenario.

‘That was his initial reason for doing it, but now that he has been found out, it is business as usual. It was good while it lasted, and it can grow back very quickly, so he isn’t bothered by the new look. He just wishes it lasted longer and people didn’t know.’ 

Harry shocked fans the world over when he was spotted with a shaved head while watching U2 at Las Vegas’ new Sphere venue last week with Canadian actress Taylor, 29.

The image was shared by gossip site DeuxMoi, with the singer soon trending on social media.

A video then emerged of the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker looking happy and relaxed as he spent time with Taylor, placing a protective hand on her shoulder as they enjoyed the concert at the $2.3 billion venue.

The pair, who were first rumored to be dating back in June, are said to be ‘having a good time’. 

The source said of Harry’s new romance: ‘His relationship with Taylor is very simple right now – they aren’t inseparable and madly in love, they are just having a good time together.

‘They make each other happy, it is very easy for them both to hang out, there is no extra random drama, it is just fun hanging out and getting to know each other.’

The insider added: ‘He is very enamored with her charm. She keeps him on his toes. He continues to want to know more and more about her as he finds her to be a very interesting person. It is definitely something that could become something more.’

Harry thinks Taylor is a ‘very interesting person’ and their romance could ‘become something more’

Harry and Taylor were first romantically linked after they were spotted enjoying an art gallery date in London in June.

Since then, the pair have enjoyed various outings together, including Vienna where they hung out after Harry performed as part of his Love on Tour dates.

Although the pair have not publicly commented on their romance, they seemingly confirmed the rumors as they put on a cozy display at the press night of Taylor’s play in early August. 

Not minding the romance rumors, Styles and Russell appeared smitten as they struggled to keep their hands off of each other.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Harry and Taylor have been staying in a swanky $3000-a-night hotel in Central London as building work continues on his mega mansion.

Harry was said to be living out of a suitcase at the very lavish accommodation with Taylor keeping him company after he splashed out over $13 million in 2020 for neighboring 18th Century houses in North London which he knocked into one property before getting to work on transforming them.

A source told The Sun: ‘Harry has understandably kept a wide berth from his pad while the major works are under way, and has checked in to a lavish hotel while in London. His girlfriend Taylor has been staying with him’.

‘They keep a low profile, popping out for coffees and snacks, and cycling around London like tourists.’

Styles previously dated Olivia Wilde, while Taylor was linked to Lucas Hedges.
